關於孩子使用字典的練習通知 Notice on Children’s Dictionary Practice

 親愛的家長您好：

Dear Parents,

這兩三天，我們在課堂上開始教孩子使用字典。觀察中發現，有些孩子很快掌握了查字訣竅，但也有孩子還需要多加練習。

Over the past few days, we have been teaching the children how to use a dictionary in class. We have noticed that some children grasp the techniques quickly, while others still need more practice.

為了幫助孩子養成良好的查字習慣，我們計畫從第三課開始，每一課會要求孩子查找5個新字。

To help children develop good dictionary habits, we plan to ask them to look up 5 new words per lesson, starting from Lesson 3.

因此，下週會讓孩子將字典帶回家，以便在家中也能多練習使用字典。

Therefore, next week, children will bring their dictionaries home to practice using them.

查字方法建議

Suggested Methods for Looking Up Words

1. 注音查字法：先找到字的注音，再按注音順序查找。

Zhuyin (Bopomofo) Lookup: Find the word’s Zhuyin first, then look it up in order.

2. 部首查字法：找出字的主要部首，再看部首下筆畫數查找。

Radical Lookup: Identify the main radical of the word, then check the number of strokes under that radical.

家長可以協助的方式

How Parents Can Help

鼓勵孩子多試幾次，找不到字也不要灰心。

Encourage your child to try multiple times and not to be discouraged if they cannot find a word.

查到字後，可讓孩子大聲念出字音並說出字義，加深印象。

After finding a word, have your child read the pronunciation out loud and explain its meaning to reinforce memory.

希望家長能協助孩子在家也多練習使用字典，讓孩子逐步熟練查字技巧。

We hope parents can help children practice using the dictionary at home, so they gradually become proficient.
