English Story

That day, Jack and Annie once again climbed into the magic treehouse. Outside, the wind howled, as if calling them toward a new adventure. When they opened a thick book, the picture showed an endless land of white—Antarctica!

“Wow, Jack! It looks so cold!” Annie exclaimed. She spotted penguins waddling across the snow. Jack quickly opened his notebook and wrote: “Antarctica—the coldest place on Earth.”

With a flash of light, the siblings were transported into the icy land. Their boots sank into deep snow, and the freezing wind cut through the air. Luckily, the magic gave them warm coats, gloves, and boots so they could move around.

Soon, they met a group of researchers setting up a temporary station to study glaciers. Jack and Annie offered to help carry supplies. Though the wind was fierce, they felt warm inside, knowing they were part of something important.

“We need to collect some ice samples,” one scientist said. “But the ice ahead is dangerous—it has cracks.”

Annie’s eyes lit up. “We can help!” she said. Jack frowned, aware of the danger. But he followed, knowing they always had to watch out for each other.

The ice creaked under their feet as they walked. Suddenly, a loud crack split the air—Annie almost fell into a crevasse! Jack grabbed her hand just in time. Their hearts pounded, but they pressed on.

Finally, they collected the precious ice samples. The scientists explained that the samples could reveal thousands of years of Earth’s climate history, helping humans understand global warming. Jack quickly wrote: “Glaciers = Earth’s history book.”

On their way back, they found a lost baby penguin crying for its family. Annie gently picked it up, and together they followed tracks in the snow until they found the penguin colony. Returning the chick filled them with warmth and joy.

At last, under the glowing southern lights, the treehouse called them back. Jack and Annie said goodbye to the scientists and penguins and returned home. Their hands and feet were still cold, but their hearts were full of courage and hope.

This Antarctic journey taught them the importance of protecting the environment, staying calm in danger, and realizing that even small actions can make a big difference.
