午後的陽光透過樹葉灑進樹屋，傑克和安妮翻開一本封面閃耀著金色圖案的書。書頁上是一座宏偉的神廟，塔尖直插雲霄，牆壁上滿是繁複的雕刻，描繪著舞蹈的人物與奇異的動物。

「這一定是古印度！」傑克的眼睛閃閃發亮。他記得在課本裡讀過，印度河流域有著偉大的文明和豐富的傳說。
安妮興奮地說：「快點去看看！」

隨著一陣熟悉的旋轉，他們落在一條熱鬧的街道旁。街上到處都是穿著彩色衣裳的人們，香料的味道飄散在空氣中，鼓聲和歌聲此起彼落。他們抬頭一看，遠處矗立著那座壯麗的神廟。

不久，他們遇見了一位小女孩，名叫莉雅。她正焦急地抱著一個小盒子，裡面裝著一枚刻有神聖符號的寶石。
「我必須把這顆寶石交給祭司，作為今晚祭典的一部分，」她說，「可是路上有猴子和流浪狗，我一個人怕走不過去。」

安妮立刻拍拍胸口：「別擔心，我們幫你！」
傑克雖然有點猶豫，但還是點頭，因為他知道這是他們的任務。

他們穿過擁擠的集市，攤位上擺滿了布匹、陶器和香料。忽然，一群猴子跳下來，試圖搶走小盒子！安妮勇敢地揮舞手臂大喊，吸引猴子的注意，而傑克則迅速拿起一根香蕉丟到一旁，猴子立刻被吸引走了。

接著，他們經過一條小河。河邊有幾隻狗正在低吼，擋住去路。莉雅嚇得縮在一旁。傑克靈機一動，把水潑向狗群，狗立刻退開。安妮牽著莉雅，飛快地跑過去。

終於，他們抵達了神廟。神廟前的石階寬廣而莊嚴，雕像栩栩如生，眼神彷彿在注視著來訪的人。大祭司正在等候，他看見莉雅安全帶來寶石，欣慰地點頭。

「這顆寶石象徵純潔與智慧，今晚的儀式少不了它，」大祭司莊嚴地說。他感激地看著傑克和安妮，「你們的勇氣和善良，與神明同在。」

那一晚，他們受邀參加祭典。人們圍繞著神廟載歌載舞，鼓聲、鈴聲與歌聲交織，火焰照亮了夜空。安妮隨著音樂跳了起來，傑克則一邊記錄，一邊感受這文化的深邃與美麗。

最後，樹屋的呼喚響起。兄妹倆向莉雅揮手告別。回到現實世界時，傑克合上筆記本，輕聲說：「古印度不只是傳說，而是真正的智慧與文化寶庫。」
安妮笑著點頭：「而且，勇氣和善良，在哪裡都一樣重要。」

English Story

The afternoon sun shone through the leaves into the treehouse. Jack and Annie opened a book with golden patterns on the cover. On its pages was a grand temple, its tower reaching the sky, with walls full of carvings showing dancers and strange animals.

“This must be Ancient India!” Jack’s eyes sparkled. He remembered reading in his textbook about the great civilization of the Indus Valley and its rich legends.
“Let’s go see!” Annie said eagerly.

With a swirl of magic, they landed on a busy street. People in colorful clothes bustled around. The air was filled with the smell of spices, and drums and songs echoed everywhere. In the distance stood the magnificent temple.

Soon, they met a little girl named Riya. She held a small box with a jewel inside, carved with sacred symbols.
“I must deliver this jewel to the priest for tonight’s ceremony,” she said. “But there are monkeys and stray dogs on the way. I’m scared to go alone.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll help you!” Annie said bravely.
Jack hesitated but agreed—it was clearly their mission.

They crossed the crowded marketplace filled with cloth, pottery, and spices. Suddenly, a group of monkeys leapt down to snatch the box! Annie waved her arms and shouted to distract them, while Jack tossed a banana aside. The monkeys rushed after it.

Next, they reached a small river. Dogs blocked the path, growling. Riya shrank back in fear. Jack quickly splashed water at them, and the dogs retreated. Annie grabbed Riya’s hand, and they hurried past.

At last, they reached the temple. The stone steps were grand, and statues seemed to watch them with solemn eyes. The high priest was waiting. Seeing Riya arrive safely with the jewel, he nodded in relief.

“This jewel represents purity and wisdom,” he said. “Tonight’s ritual cannot happen without it.” He looked at Jack and Annie with gratitude. “Your courage and kindness are blessed by the gods.”

That night, they joined the festival. People sang and danced around the temple. Drums, bells, and songs filled the air. Annie joined the dance, while Jack wrote in his notebook, deeply moved by the beauty of the culture.

Finally, the treehouse called them back. As they waved goodbye to Riya, Jack whispered, “Ancient India is not just legend—it’s a treasure of wisdom and culture.”
Annie smiled and nodded. “And courage and kindness matter everywhere.”
